How is a day of cruise in the Maldives aboard your private charter?

From the logbook of a Maldives private charter:

• 07:00 AM - For the more early risers, coffee and biscuits served on the fly-bridge. To enjoy the spectacle of dawn with its warm tropical pastel colors.

• 08:00 AM - Ready for a dive from the aft deck. We swim with fins and mask along with two small mantas running around the yacht curious and confident.

• 08:30 AM -  Morning breakfast with tropical fruit and massuni, Maldivian specialty with tuna and coconut.

• 09:00 AM - Snorkeling around the coral reefs of Myaru Kandu, spectacular and colorful marine reserve in Vaavu atoll. The divers visit the nearby pass, looking for gray reef sharks and eagle rays. And if today they would also see a hammerhead shark?

• 11:30 AM - Sunbathing on a thin sand strip, fine as talcum powder, or relax on the deck under the awning. Listening to the delicate notes of a jazz song.

• 12:30 PM - Lunch, prepared by the chef on board, and served on the shaded and ventilated foredeck. Light menu of rice curry, grilled fresh fish and grilled vegetables.

• 01:00 PM - We raise the anchors heading to Foththeyo, the easternmost desert island of the archipelago. During the navigation, a couple of hours of relaxation on board, in the cabin or on deck under the awning.

• 03:30 PM - Second dive of the day at Foththeyo Kandu to photograph the stunning caves of yellow soft coral. For non-divers free time on the desert island.

• 05:00 PM - Back on board, briefing with the captain and dive guide to plan the itinerary for the next day of our Maldives dhoni cruise. Accompanied by a nice cup of Ceylon tea, served in the dining area with biscuits and coconut.

• 05:30 PM -  Fishing excursion or an aperitif on the deck at sunset for those who don't love hooks and baits and prefer the company of a good book.

• 08:30 PM - Dinner by candlelight with seafood spaghetti and baked fish, accompanied by an excellent iced Chardonnay. After so much swimming, we can afford a slice of tiramisu' ...

• 10:00 PM - On the fly-bridge to indicate Orion, Aldebaran and the Milky Way, sipping a glass of red wine.
