In detail:
This cruise explores one of the most remote and uninhabited atolls of the Maldives: Vaavu. The eastern side of Vaavu is particularly popular with cruising boats throughout the year for several reasons. First, short stretches of open ocean separate the atoll from Malé, making the journey easy to navigate during any season. This makes the area accessible year-round. The diving and snorkeling sites in Vaavu are some of the most rewarding in the entire archipelago, with abundant marine life and crystal-clear waters. With only two resorts on the atoll, there is minimal tourist traffic, ensuring a peaceful and serene experience. Additionally, the eastern tip of the atoll is famous for having an incredible abundance of fish, especially during the dry monsoon season, making it one of the top diving spots in the Maldives.

Diving & fishing:

Mantas during the wet monsoon and pelagic fish year-round: this is what the waters and passes around Alimatha and the eastern side of Vaavu Atoll promise. Myaru Kandu and the Myaru Kandu marine reserve are renowned current dive sites that should not be missed by experienced divers. These areas offer thrilling encounters with large marine species, including schools of pelagic fish. During the dry monsoon, Dhiggiri Point is another hotspot teeming with fish, providing an exceptional diving experience for both beginners and seasoned divers alike.
