This enchanting cruise takes you through two of the most breathtaking atolls in the Maldives: Vaavu and Ari. The eastern side of Vaavu is a favorite destination for cruising boats throughout the year, offering easy navigation and some of the best diving and snorkeling spots in the archipelago. With only two resorts, the area enjoys a serene atmosphere and minimal tourist traffic. The eastern tip of Vaavu is known for its rich marine life, offering some of the best fish sightings during the dry monsoon season. Ari Atoll, also known as Alifu Atoll, is a treasure trove of cultural and natural wonders. Visit Fenfushi, where you can discover the island’s rich Maldivian heritage, including expertly carved coral sculptures adorning the mosque and ancient tombstones in the cemetery. Another highlight is the village of Dhangethi, home to two majestic Ficus Benjamina trees. The waters and passes around Alimatha and the eastern side of Vaavu Atoll offer a diver’s dream, with mantas frequenting the region during the wet monsoon and pelagic fish to be spotted year-round. For more experienced divers, Myaru Kandu, the Myaru Kandu Marine Reserve, and the Foththeyo Pass are not to be missed. The outer reef at Foththeyo Falhu stands out for its incredible abundance of fish, rivaling the best spots in the entire archipelago, particularly from December to April. Even in the dry monsoon, Dhiggiri Point and the stretch between Rakeedhoo and Fussaru Falhu provide thrilling opportunities for underwater exploration. Ari Atoll, a true diver's paradise, is known for its world-class dive sites. Highlights include the Panettone, where vibrant yellow and orange soft corals and sea fans coat the underwater rocks, creating a stunning sight.
